How did you send the email (there are 3 ways to send emails in PM) and what you see under Admin > Logs > Email?

If you are using PMFSendMessage() in a trigger, use a variable to get the return value:
@@ret = PMFSendMessage(...);
Then, you can check "ret" in the debugger, when Debug Mode is activated. If it is set to 0, then you have a problem in your code or you didn't correctly configure the account at Admin > Settings > Email Servers.

Post your trigger code if you can't figure it out.

To send the email by the processmaker 3.1, you have to go to the admin setting and then go to the email servers. After that, you have to edit the email server setting, now you can select the SMTP protocol. There you will get all details to fill like email id and messages etc. iPad support has done the same way.
