Hi,

This is not possible because the case number is an auto incremented field in the database.

I would recommend making a hidden field on the dynaform and either in php or in javascript adding the alpha char and then displaying it as a label of the case and it will show in the inbox.

Additionally, our enterprise edition features a cases list builder plugin that allows you to hide columns in the inbox, for example the case number, and show a different column, for example, your hidden field. To the end user it would appear as if the case number was alphanumeric and they would be none the wiser.

Are you currently using the community edition or the enterprise?
