Error while saving existing trigger "Failed to execute 'send' on 'XMLHttpRequest': Failed to load.."

Dear Experts,
We are using PM 2.5.1 on Windows box. Just recently, we have encountered an error in our existing triggers that were working ever since. When you open the trigger, it is already trimmed. While updating the trigger, the window becomes unresponsive and the error message "Failed to execute 'send' on 'XMLHttpRequest': Failed to load.." pops up. What might have caused this and how do we solve it?
