Generally, I would recommend planning 128 MB of RAM per concurrent user on your server, plus 2 GB for the operating system and base system.

If you have a large number of concurrent users, you should have a separate server to run your database. If you anticipate a large number of file uploads to your cases, you might want to consider using RAID or NAS to hold the shared folder where all the files are stored for the cases. If speed is very important to your, then place the PM code on an SSD and the shared folder on a separate disk.

PM is being used by companies with over 200,000 employees, but that is with multiple application servers and multiple database servers using replication. If you want a big installation with multiple application servers, I recommend calling ProcessMaker sales and talking to them.
