I'm looking to route a task to either a group or a user based on a value. The process is a purchase order system that based on the payment method selected via dropdown box, the task will either route back to the user who submitted the case or to the Accounts Payable group using self service. What I'm looking for would combine Value Based assignment and Self Service Value Based Assignment. Is this possible?

Hi Ethan,

Once the payment method in decided in your Purchase Order, why dont you design 2 tasks that case can be routed to:
1) Task "Route back to the user" with Value Based Assignment
OR
2) Accounts Payable with with Self Service Value Based Assignment

For each of these tasks, you can then have the assignment design you want.

As for the 1), you can use a trigger to remember the user ID

Ha ha, I didn't think of that. I'd been trying to combine all the tasks to make things compact on the process map, but breaking them out would totally fix it. Thanks for your help.
