Hi,

I'm using Processmaker version 1.2-2467 since 2 years. But now I'm facing performance issues (slow response time, hanging issues). Total 300 users use this product but not concurrently. I have done some mysql optimizations at my end but no use . I have tried to test its performance after upgrading the system but it makes no difference. I use Windows as OS and firefox as a browser. Following are the two configurations in which i tried to test the performance.

First was :

Windows 2003 R2 Server
Xeon 2.90 GHZ
4GB Ram

Second is :

Windows 2008 R2 Server
Xeon 2.90 GHZ
12GB Ram

What is most recommended?? What should i do to increase the performance (due to some time issues i can't upgrade the version)

Do help..

Regards.

Hi,

This is a problem with the PM in time the performance go slow this can be due a to much cases a day to many users using PM at the same time. I have a question to ask your PM is an automatically installation or is manual installation? (what I mean by manual if you install your PM, Mysql and PHP in a separate way). If you installed PM automatically you will have performance issues because we only recommend this version for a develop environment no for a Production. You say that you don't have time to do an upgrade but all the solutions can I give needs some time to get it done. One solution is that you separate the database and PM servers and PM has to be install manually you can see the follow documentation to install PM Manually:

http://wiki.processmaker.com/index.php/ ... stallation

http://wiki.processmaker.com/index.php/ ... ows_64_bit

If you will have to do an upgrade tell me to guide you with the steps to do a right upgrade from a version you are to a newest version of PM because is a very old version.

Tell me if that was helpful.

Thanks Max for your response. I have followed the link you provided.. I have installed Zend server and Mysql and extract processmaker files inside Zend directory. Now how would i configure PM with zend? How can i run PM on zend server? Little detail will be appreciated as I'm new into this.

Waiting for your reply. Thanks

I have made all changes in the required configuration files but how can i access PM for installation. how can i access this page..

http://servername/sysworkflow/en/green/login/login.html

Because my zend server is configured to 'localhost' and in all pmos.conf, httpd file in virtual host i entered this IP. And when i access this IP it opens zend server test page. Not PM setup page.and including line 'Include conf/extra/pmos.conf' in httpd.conf makes zend server operation failed

What I'm doing wrong here?

Hello,

Could you try to give a root access to the databases you can find the file db.php in the next path:

processmaker/shared/sites/workflow

and edit this file put the ip of the database server the user of mysql and his password for each database

tell me if that works for you

Hello,

that means that the user or the passowrd on the database rb_workflow are wrong so verify if they are correct and try again, remeber the users need to have root priviligies in mysql.

I performed the setup again . Now on the setup page :

Workflow Database: wf_workflow
Rbac Database: rb_workflow

These two boxes are coming in red and install button is disabled. Now what is the issue :(

Hello

I suppose that you are talking about the step five of the configuration:

http://wiki.processmaker.com/index.php/ ... figuration

they are in red because these databases already exist on mysql so I recommend to enable the checkbox where is says delete databases but only do that if the databases are empty if you have information in those databases first do a backup with mysqldump of the databases and after install restore again, or change the names of the databases.

When i m importing my process . it is giving the following error

Cannot create the table "SupportMasterRecords"!

The row cannot be created! [wrapped: Please select a valid Time Unit.
Please select a valid Process Status.
Please select a valid Process Type.
Please select a valid Process Assignment
]

Are these errors are coming because of some compatibility issue? Im using in 64bit windows machine :

ZendServer-php-5.2.17-5.6.0-SP1-Windows_x86
mysqlserver5.5
PM version 1.2

Because when i used to import this process in automatic windows installer . it worked fine

Help this really sucks

When i import the process without Report table it works fine. Why i can't import Report Tables here?

I need to import the process with Report tables.

There are performance issues if you start running thousands or tens of thousands of cases in the older versions of ProcessMaker. Version 1.2.xx is now VERY old!

We have greatly optimized performance in our latest versions and now have enterprise customers running tens of thousands of users and millions of cases. So, if you are going to continue growing your PM instance, I highly recommend moving to 2.5.x
