This has been mentioned a few times in the list, but I wanted to ask specifically about it. I think the answer is not yet, but before I assume I wanted to check.
My request is to use
http://www.mydomain.com/processmaker
instead of
http://processmaker.mydomain.com

Is this possible currently?

You can't use alias, ProcessMaker uses information located in the URL for various reasons, put one level more that would cause malfunctioning in the System.

Is it still the case that the current version of ProcessMaker cannot be configured to run in a subdirectory?

This is still the case. ProcessMaker needs to be the root of a domain or a sub-domain to work properly.
