What's the difference between STEP_UID and STEP_UID_OBJ#795633

STEP table has two indistinguishable fields: STEP_UID and STEP_UID_OBJ

What's the difference between them?

STEP_UID is the unique ID of a step in a task. This ID is created when you add a DynaForm, Input Document or Output Document as a step in a task.
STEP_UID_OBJ is the unique ID of the DynaForm, Input Document or Output Document which is executed by that step.
