I have a button (normal button, not Submit). I wish when I click it to be transferred to the CNN Web site (for example).

The following code is NOT working, why?
Code: Select all
$("buttonMoveNext").find("button").click(

  function() {
    top.location.href = "http://www.cnn.com";

  }

);
I also tried top.location without href and it didn't work.

Your help please.

Not exactly what you want, but I always want to open in a new tab. It requires the user to turn off pop up blocking for your application though (they would see a notification each time, but once blocking is disabled for the site the browser remembers it.

$myURL = "https://www.google.com/";
window.open($myURL);

To debug your JavaScript you can turn on the Developer Tools in Chrome or use the Debugger in Firefox. In most browsers, you can start it by pressing F12. Then, view the preview of your DynaForm or run a case which opens the DynaForm. Then, you should see any error messages for your code. All of this is explained in http://wiki.processmaker.com/3.1/JavaSc ... JavaScript
