Questions and discussion about using ProcessMaker: user interface, running cases & functionality

Hi folks,
after upgrading to 3.3.8 community, I notice an issue about dropdown control with parametric query in a grid .
I have a grid with a dropdown control with a parametric query that use the value of a texbox (or hidden box is the same) filled by a trigger. Well, when I open the task the dropdown control haven't any value inside but if I change the value of the textbox magically the dropdown control is filled correctly.
I tried to replicate on a semplified process and I attached it.
Everything worked like a charm in 3.3.7.
Any idea or workaround to solve?
Thanks in advance.
M.

Please file a bug report about this problem at http://bugs.processmaker.com
And post a link to your bug report here, so I can add this to next bug meeting.

As a workaround until this gets fixed, you can add this JavaScript to your Dynaform:
Code: Select all
var gridId = "GM1"; //set to ID of grid
var independentColNo = 2; //set to column number of independent field in grid

var nRows = $("#"+gridId).getNumberRows();

for (var i = 1; i <= nRows; i++) {
  var val = $("#"+gridId).getValue(i, independentColNo);
  $("#"+gridId).setValue(1, i, independentColNo);
  $("#"+gridId).setValue(val, i, independentColNo);
}
Changing the value forces ProcessMaker to execute the SQL query.

Hidden fields can't be used as independent fields. That is a *feature* that won't be changed. You can use a normal text field and hide it with JavaScript.
