Questions and discussion about using ProcessMaker: user interface, running cases & functionality
#824143
My problem:
1. I generate the output document generation via trigger following this wiki (https://wiki.processmaker.com/3.0/Proce ... ment.28.29)
2. I have inserted the image from public files
3. But while generating the output document the image has not inserted. I check the URL. It was correct while running outside the processmaker
4. My Processmaker version are 3.1.0 and 3.2.1
5. Even i check via sample document as given in processmaker wiki. i tried to insert processmakerlogo.png but i has not inserted in the Doc file.(https://wiki.processmaker.com/3.2/Outpu ... ing_Images)
6. Since i'm generating the output document i just send the variables with link. Other variables generated correctly except the image
7. Could you tell me any other solution why the image is not inserted in Doc(.doc) file

The problem is that your word processor (I see the problem in LibreOffice Writer) isn't able to resolve your domain name to be able to access the image. If I use an image from Google's server, then I have no problems, but I see the problem when I use localhost or a private IP.

When I have the following Output Document template:
Code: Select all
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<p>From Google's URL:</p>
<p><img src="https://www.google.com/images/branding/googlelogo/2x/googlelogo_color_272x92dp.png" /></p>
<p>From Public Files:</p>
<p><img src="http://localhost:3212/sysworkflow/en/neoclassic/4776218255cc38055b60e62092493624/googlelogo_color_272x92dp.png" /></p>
</body>
</html>
</div></body></html>
I am able to see both images as a PDF, but I only see the top image stored at Google when I open the DOC file inside LibreOffice.

Either you need to install ProcessMaker at a public IP or store your images in a place with a public IP.

I don't think that you are using a public domain name. When I put your URL in my web browser, it isn't able to resolve the domain name:

Try an image from a public domain name like this and you will see that it is displayed in your DOC file:
https://www.google.com/images/branding/ ... 2x92dp.png
