Questions and discussion about using ProcessMaker: user interface, running cases & functionality
#795746
Hi,

I have a case with a script task that is continually being called via an intermediate timer event.

I would like to cancel a running case, but it doesn't seem to be able to do it, since there is no assigned user, and that case has a TO-DO status.

How can I cancel/delete this case?

Is the case in a self-service task, so there is no assigned user? In that situation, you can use Cases::setCatchUser() to assign a user to the task and then call PMFCancelCase().

If the case is in the first task, then you can only delete it with PMFDeleteCase(), not cancel it with PMFCancelCase(). If the case is in the second or later task, you can only cancel it, but not delete it.
