Questions and discussion about using ProcessMaker: user interface, running cases & functionality

Hi,

I have a problem where a user has set a value (a user ID) in a grid. This value is used for assignment in a later task. Unfortunately, the wrong value was entered which resulted in the wrong UID being set for the field. So subsequently the task is unable to be assigned, as I receive an error saying that the UID doesn't relate to a real user (fair enough).

I have used supervisor privileges to edit the first form and enter the correct value (selecting the appropriate form from Steps). The change appears in the change log, but when I try and submit the later form that relies upon the value I get the same error.

So I guess my thinking that editing the earlier form would set the correct value is incorrect. Is there another way I can set that value?

Please be patient as I am not much of a coder.

thanks
Greg

You can directly the value for the variable stored in the MySQL database in the wf_workspace.APPLICATION.APP_DATA field. See:

The serialize() format is tricky to hand edit, but it can be done. Another way is to create a trigger to change the variable in the case. See:
