Questions and discussion about using ProcessMaker: user interface, running cases & functionality
#783172
Is it possible to have sequential tasks that are assigned to the same user and when the user completes Task 1 it instantly takes the user to Task 2?
I know you can do something similar using Steps, but can this be done in 3.x with tasks?

Thanks

Hello,

Since nobody has taken this on, I'll try.

Yes - it is possible. I utilize this to test my processes before being implemented.

This is native to ProcessMaker, but to make sure I understand - you want the software to not create the new task in the person's inbox where they have to click it over and over again to move to the next task?

In this case, it may be better to include the items in a singular task and simply utilize multiple Dynaforms. You can associate multiple Dynaforms to the same task by dropping them sequentially by right clicking the task and selecting 'Steps'. Then drag each one over. This may facilitate what you are trying to do - but if you want each item to be tracked as a separate task, I'm unsure how to accomplish that without extensive coding outside the native application (or having the user click on each new task in the case as it hits their 'Inbox'.

hope it helps,

Hi Stephen,

After speaking with you the other day, I realized that what you are asking here is basically our Single Application User Experience.

You can read more about our User Experiences, here: http://wiki.processmaker.com/index.php/ ... Experience

I also recorded a small video showing this functionality here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Exv-XjIL0gc
