Hello,

I have a form which has many subforms and I use a radio button to switch between them by show\hide function now when I go to the next step I want only to get the subform that got populated with the information and hide other subforms and to do this I need to get the radio button value but I couldn't get the value here is the code I used to check for the radio button value
Code: Select all

$(document).ready(function(){
var radioValue = $("input[type='radio'][name='rd_RequestType']:checked").val();

if ($("input[name='rd_RequestType']:checked")) {
    alert(radioValue);
}
else {
    alert('No Value');
}
});
the code runs to the first condition but the alert message comes with "undefined" word instead of the value.

so what went wrong?

I have found the solution to my problem and here is my solution below :

It seems when I turned the radio button to view mode, it changed its name to "value-hidden" so I had to change it to get the data from it.
Code: Select all

 var radioValue = $('#rd_RequestType input.value-hidden').val();

    if(radioValue == '0'){

        $("#5770568845baa2c2a1f32a7049491196").show();
        $("#8606262205baa2be6336237020857749").hide();
        $("#8695983885baa2bfd298c65009612516").hide();
        $("#4701232915baa2bd088ec24004579379").hide();
        $("#6759948735baa2c12b74502072627301").hide();

    }

    else if(radioValue == '2')
