ProcessMaker is not compatible with MySQL 8.

Before you do anything, make a backup of your MySQL files, which are usually located at: /var/lib/mysql, so you don't screw them up any further.

Then, you need to delete MySQL 8 and reinstall MySQL 5.7.

I have no idea what changes CentOS makes to MySQL databases when upgrading to version 8. You have to hope that CentOS didn't touch the MySQL files when it upgraded to version 8.

Do you have a backup from before you upgraded? If you run into problems, you should restore the old files from your backup in /var/lib/mysql .
