Respected Processmaker Team,

Can you let me know the Procedure to update Processmaker Production to latest Version 3.2.

Queries:
1. How will Production data be migrated to Latest Version, Are there any limitations?
2. Will our old Processes be supported in latest version? Or we have to recreate those processes from scratch.
3. What will be the impact on our Customized code?
4. What will be roll back procedure if our APP crashed while upgrading?
5. How easily can we upgrade it to Latest version and what will be risks involved in upgrading?
6. Can we directly upgrade to 3.2 or we have to upgrade it to other version first then to 3.2?

Thanks & Regards,

In theory processes from version 1.2 should be able to run in version 3.2, but there is no guarantee. You will have to test your processes to see if they work.

You can try to upgrade your existing installation to version 3.2, but there is no guarantee that it will work. Before you start read:

1. Make a backup of your system, so you can restore it if there is a problem.
2. Apply patches to go from version 1.2-2467 to 1.2.
3. Apply the patch pmos_patch_3250-3250.tar.gz.
4. Apply patches to go from version 1.2-2985 to 1.8-712.
5. Follow these instructions to overwrite the source code and upgrade to version 3.2:
http://wiki.processmaker.com/3.0/Upgrad ... ocessMaker

You will have to change your virtualhost definition in the pmos.conf file. You will also probably have to upgrade your versions of PHP and MySQL on your server, because PM 3.2 requires more recent versions.

The other option is to lose your existing cases and simply export your processes from version 1.2 and import them into a new installation of PM 3.2.
