I ve installed Community edition on Windows 8.1. All works fine. I want to integrate the Processmaker with our private email server (Outlook) running on Intranet (Not connected to Internet). The mail server is running at 135.36.9.16 (No DNS. We need to access it with url https://135.36.9.16/owa ).
In the email server settings, i put following entries
Email Engine - SMTP (PHP Mailer)
Server - 135.36.9.16
Port- 587
Requires authentication - Ticked
Sender acct- autoreply@17mail.orion.in
Password - mypassword
Sender Email - autoreply@17mail.orion.in
Sender Name - Orion
Use Secure Connection - TLS

Now, when I try to test the mail, it goes in an infinte wait loop and does not return any result.

Have you tried all the diagnostic steps listed here?
What are the results?

Basic Authentication
Click the Admin tab on the web console.
Under Server Settings, click Mail Server Settings.
Specify the following information: Server Name: smtp.gmail.com. Port : 465 (SSL) / 587 (TLS) Sender Email Address: Your email address. Test Email Address: email address to receive test emails. Email Type: SMTP / SMTPS.

Hello,
I have applied the configuration settings for my gmail, and it is correct.
But it doesn't send a test email. I have set the gmail settings,too.
The error and my email setting is attached as bellow:
