We, the developers of ProcessMaker, oppose the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) bill in the US House of Representatives and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) bill in the US Senate. We urge the US congress to vote NO on these bills in all their variants. While we support the protection of copyrighted materials, the draconian provisions of SOPA and PIPA will destroy the free and open nature of the internet. We believe that blocking IP addresses and forcing search providers to remove links to sites will restrict the free movement of information and ideas and will harm the growth of internet-based companies like Colosa.
